Itec Day 2018.

ITEC alumni, representatives of Departments of the Government of South Africa including: DIRCO  (Diplomatic Training and International School); Agriculture; Telecommunications and Postal Services; Trade & Industry (The DTI); Energy; Higher Education and Training; SA Navy Training; Transport; University of Pretoria and National Treasury andprominent representatives of the community participated in the ITEC Day 2018 at a well-attended event at the High Commission of India, Pretoria on 11 December 2018.  

The High Commissioner briefly highlighted the outstanding quality and content of the offered courses and the benefits to participants while emphasizing the practical utility in capacity building and the people-to-people interaction afforded to the participants in these courses and stressed that all available slots should be utilized to benefit fully from the programme. 

ITEC Alumni shared their experience with the audience highlighting the professionalism of the courses and commented favourably on the knowledge of the instructors and their ability to convey that knowledge to the participants and expressed appreciation for their “hand being held” by the High Commission official who assisted them through the application process.  For most of the participants, it was their first visit to India and they shared how it benefited them personally and professionally and how it contributed to enhanced efficiency in their area of responsibility. 

All present were thrilled to be in the group photograph and to associate and network in an informal setting over refreshments.
