Passport Updation in OCI Card 

This is inform that all OCI cardholder must update their passport details in their OCI card (including e-OCI card) each time a new passport is issued irrespective of age within 3 months of issuance of the passport on the online system under OCI Miscellaneous Services. 

2. This service is gratis if the updating of new passport particulars is done within 3 months from the date of issue of new passport. After lapse of three months a fee of US $ 25 will be charged. 
3. It is clarified that there will be no restriction on the OCI cardholder to travel to/from India during the period from the date of passport updation application till the date of final acknowledgement of his/her documents in the online system. 
4. OCI cardholders applying for passport updation are advised to take note of the above.
