He began his diplomatic career with joining the Indian Foreign Service in 2010. Since then he has served in the Ministry of External Affairs and Indian Missions abroad in various capacities.

In the Headquarters of the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, he has served in Public Diplomacy Division (2012) and in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran (PAI) Division (2019-21). His diplomatic assignments in Indian Missions include Embassy of India, Kabul, Afghanistan (2012-15) and High Commission of India, Colombo, Sri Lanka (2015-19). He has served the Embassy of India, Thimphu as Deputy Chief of Mission (2022-2025) before proceeding to Consulate General of India in Durban, South Africa as Consul General.

Prior to joining the Ministry of External Affairs, he has worked with the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and a multinational company in the field of technology.

He holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Pune University. He is married and is a badminton, cricket and golf admirer.
