After world tours in India, Italy, UK, Belgium, France, Japan, Germany and the US, Women Changing India comes to Johannesburg, South Africa on 31 October 2017 when South Africans will have a chance to view this travelling photo exhibition highlighting the vital role women play in India today.

In the limelight or behind the scenes, women are promoting far-reaching changes in Indian society. They are helping the country advance, transforming its economy and creating businesses. Whether they live in villages or cities, whether street vendors, lawyers, move producers or business leaders, they are all helping reshape India’s frontiers and face, keeping the country in perpetual motion day after day.

High Commissioner Ruchira Kamboj, who will be present on the occasion, will speak about the amazing voyage of 6 women sailors who are currently circumnavigating the globe on an indigenously built vessel “INS Tarini” and who will be creating history in the process. INS Tarini is expected to reach Cape Town, South Africa in February 2018 concluding an incredible voyage, highlighting the fact that women truly are changing India.
