Meeting of India Business Forum held at Johannesburg on 12th September 2017

With a view to upscaling, India-South Africa economic and commercial relations and since South Africa is the gateway to business in the African continent, High Commissioner Ruchira Kamboj and Consul General K.J. Srinivasa engaged the Senior Management of Indian companies based in South Africa to discuss problems and issues of concern to them. This meeting of the Indian Business Forum was held at the Consulate General of India, Johannesburg on 12 September 2017. An excellent corpus was present from the IT, Mining, Automobiles, Education, Banking & Finance sectors, apart from individual entrepreneurs.

2. IBF is a group of Indian companies present in South Africa either as subsidiaries or in Joint Ventures with South African companies. The Forum was formed in 2007 by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to provide a single platform to Indian companies and their entities in South Africa to raise their concerns and issues in unified manner. IBF operations including membership are overseen by the Indian Consulate at Johannesburg. The High Commissioner of India to South Africa is the patron of IBF.
