Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India is organizing the following six editions of ‘Know India Programme’ (KIPs) from September 2018 to February 2019 to familiarize Indian Diaspora youth with India’s culture, heritage and with contemporary India:

Know India Programme is a 25 days orientation programme for diaspora youth.  It is  conducted with a view to promote awareness on different facets of life in India and the progress made by the country in various fields  namely economic, industrial, education, science & technology, communication & information Technology, culture. KIP provide a unique forum for students & young professionals of Indian origin to visit India, share their views, expectations & experiences and to develop closer bonds with the contemporary India. This programme is open only for Indian origin Diaspora youth in the age group of 18-30 years.  Preference would be given to those PIOs who have not visited India so far.  NRIs are not eligible to participagte in the programme.  Interested Indian-origin youth can submit their applications online through KIP portal:  Theparticipants of 49th to 52nd KIP will also have the opportunity to participate in Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention, 2019, Kumbh Snan (The Holy Ganges Bath) and the Republic Day Parade in January 2019.

The allotment of candidates will be on first-come-first serve basis and subject to fulfillment of all eligibility criteria. The KIP portal is curently open for receiving applications for 47th – 48th editions of KIPThe registration will close on 15 July 2018.  More details on the application process can be obtained  from
